Project Linus

Rio Norte is starting a new club called Project Linus. Project Linus is a national organization with local chapters where people make new, washable blankets for critically ill and traumatized children from newborns to age 17.
Blankets can be sewn, quilted, knitted, crocheted or of the No-Sew Fleece tied type.

Rio Norte is going to focus on making baby blankets for the babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Units in Santa Clarita and Sylmar.

Blankets can be made by students, staff, parents, families and friends. Anyone can make a blanket and donate it to Project Linus! There are some guidelines for blanket making that need to be followed.

Please check the Project Linus page on my website for more information. http://rionortefoods.blogspot.com/p/project-linus_19.html We welcome donations of new cotton fabric, batting, thread, or a gift certificate to JoAnn's, Michael's, or Walmart. Monetary donations should be made out to Rio Norte ASB and sent to the address below. Please write "Project Linus" in the memo of your check.
